Bringing Meaning to the Data

TCCSC’s Evaluation & Research program aims to transform raw data into meaningful pieces of information to inform and guide the specialized services provided to our clients.  In this way, the Evaluation & Research Program exists to provide valuable and critical technical supports to the clinical services offered. We are currently working on developing strategies and technologies to generate client- and aggregate-level reports, which summarize who our clients are and track their progress and recovery to better inform services.

Our Clients

Los Angeles County is divided into eight Service Planning Areas (SPA). Since 2010 TCCSC has served over 1,700 unduplicated youth and their families from Service Planning Areas 6, 7 and 8.  To learn more about the clients we serve in each SPA, click on the links below.

SPA 1

Service Planning Area 1 serves the communities of Acton, Agua Dulce, Gorman, Lake Hughes, Lake Los Angeles, Lancaster, Littlerock, Palmdale, Quartiz Hill, and others.

TCCSC recently received approval to expand Wraparound services to SPA 1 on May 1, 2015.  Demographic data about the clients served in SPA 1 will be published in August, 2016.

  • TCCSC experienced stark growth in new enrollments between 2012 and 2013 reflecting our increased capacity to serve the needs of the community.

  • TCCSC staff are provided rigorous and on-going training to effectively treat various psychiatric disorders using out-of-the box approaches

With the growth and increasing capacity of the Evaluation & Research Program at TCCSC, fuller and richer information about client demographics and program efficacy will be published in August, 2016.

  • Overall, 71 more clients received services in 2018-19 compared to the previous year. Where we deliver services changed recently as we began seeing clients in Riverside County during our first year; currently 155 clients reside in that service region. Our remaining population shifted between already established service areas. Service Region 6 (South Los Angeles) is home for the majority of clients compared to the previous year. However, neighboring regions 7 and 8 (south and east of 6) saw an increase. SPA 8 grew by 48 more clients, while only 19 more clients were seen in SPA 7. The Palmdale area (SPA 1) is spatially distant from the other areas we server but served 6 more clients in the 2018-19 fiscal year.
